Winter Magic
W hen snow has fallen
I n quiet drifts during the
N ight and I know
T he moment I awaken.
E erie silence greets me.
R everant pause for reflection.
M aking my way outside.
A nxious to be the first footfall.
G lorious crunching beneath my feet.
I deflower the virgin snow.
C hildlike in my adult delight.
