Winter Magic

“January brings the snow, makes our feet and fingers glow.” —Sara Coleridge
Winter Magic Something wholly bright outside my window. What a sight! Crisp, fallen, new. Oh! How the smattering of flakes grew! The contrast against the night, so angel white, a virgin light. No human feet have impressed the Winter sheet. I pull on each boot. I give a holler and hoot. So excited am I, to expand each lung, to catch manna on my tongue.

Good for you. Me? -- I look at snow and see ice, traffic accidents, nasty falls, and glum days ahead. ~ Mr. Optimistic

Oh dear Kim, you've so beautifully described the wintry ambience, in a profound way.. Weaving moments and imagery that intrigue the reader's heart.. Especially those intricate nuances of floating snowflakes and the fresh snow, which no human feet have touched! Gosh, really mesmerizing to read.. A wonderful poem..

Observing the snowflakes outside the window and the anticipation of going outside to enjoy the snow is nice Your word choice in the poem is simple and evocative, creating a sense of childlike wonder and enthusiasm. BOL in the contest
