Winter In Ulmi

For my friend,
James Forte

Somewhere in the East,
far away
through the plains of Baragan,
there, at my house,
the snow storm
cover up,
the whole universe ...

I locked the door well
and I made heat
in the fireplace ...

I'm like Doctor Jivago
at Yuriatin ...

The cats sit at the window
and the puppy
at my feet ...

I fell asleep
in the snow storm
from outside…

I got old
and I'm happy
that I saw
and understand
the World…

In the night,
far away
it hears
the bells of
Churches ...
