Winter In My Skin

The wind creeps slowly over the hill smiling at the sleeping daffodils its waiting for the sun to rise to breathe romance in the sky and fill the air with laughter. The species are known to man, they populate all over the land, and the wailing wind reminds me of an ancient tune that the emperor used to sing at noon to woo the young maiden to his chamber. Fragrance mixed with fragrance laying in the woods and the aroma from the sweet lavender escape from the old world and enters the new world with boots and socks scarfs and mittens and a thick coat to absorb the moisture from the earth, they will survive if you keep them warm but they will die if you leave them exposed in the open lawn. Flowers are blooming in the field, rosemary, oregano and winter jasmine, the temperature is falling and the people are moving around looking for a comfortable place to tarry for the winter. Winter has just began and I can feel it in my skin, autumn has come and gone, leaving lots of leaves scattered all over the lawn; this year’s winter is going to bite and you have to have the proper gloves to fight, open the winter shops and show the people what you have got, the people are coming in droves to buy the winter clothes. Open the store until late and wait patiently at the gate. For winter is walking in my skin and it is going to sting.
