Winter Flowers

I don't have to wait for Spring to come around, I plant seeds in pots over Winter instead of a cold ground. They grow all Winter long I can't wait until Spring, so I can put them in the warm sun while in the trees, birds sing. My Winter flowers are warm sitting along the window sill, sun shines down upon them long away from the Winter's chill. I only call them Winter flowers because where they grow inside, awaiting the warmth of Spring but for now, from the cold wind they'll hide.
