Winter Finally Has Arrived

Winter Finally Has Arrived

Winter finally has arrived
There are colder days ahead
The temp is in the twenties
Extra covers on the bed

Not as warm as Christmas
In the foothills of N C
In the mountains snow flakes flurry
Would like a little here for me

Don't want a snowy blizzard
So we can't come and go
Just want to have an inch or two
So I can make a man of snow

Born long ago in Florida
Where the white stuff's out of reach
In the winter or the summer
Can make a sandman on the beach

Moved  here for the seasons
And to have a little snow
I'm not a northern half-back
Just thought I'd let the locals know
