Winter Blues

When the sun shines no more and gives way to rain It's time to close the windows and bask in dark pain Here, here, they come the memories Floating in with the cold winter vagaries Down memory lane, I let myself drown Keeping on my face, a steady frown Back to when, still a college girl I let my heart beat in a move always spiral A knight was he, with the appearance of Eros Little did I know his real name was Narcissus He took with him, my joys, my laughs And let me forever etched with a stony cough!
