Winter Blessing
WINTER BLESSING
While sitting in the cold and peeking out,
Intrepid as the snow lay 'round about,
No sight melted my heart, like what I saw,
Than one red bird who lit without a flaw.
Each feather fluffed and puffed against the cold
Resembling a red ball to catch and hold.
Believing in this sign of which I'm told:
Love transcends all of time and ages old;
Each moment that a red bird visits you,
Someone in Heaven's thoughts are bleeding through,
So you will know their heart and love's still true
In spite of everything you're going through
No matter what, they're always there for you,
Giving you hope...beyond their last adieu.
