Winter Alone

Winter Alone

                                                        searing grief
                                               exhaled lone eagles' mate
                                                        mourning loss

                                                   grey mountain
                                               grim ageless listener
                                                   pain absorbed

                                                      dawn calling
                                               sun-- healing reaches
                                                      heavy wings
