Winter

The puppy shivers a hip breaks in a fall flashing lights retreat Chills run down my spine warm hands caress and liven smoke rings blow jingle bells car trips and carols again bloated stomach sled rides slippery steps caution mistletoe kisses **Eleventh place win in the serial haiku contest!!

Shiver me timbers, Winter draw-s on, roll on Summer! Very expressive poem Doris, if it wasn't for Christmas to warm us up, I'd rather be somewhere hot! Gordon Hickman, (hicky) Thanks for calling, and comments.

wow.. I really enjoyed this poem.. mistletoe kisses..mmmm very good.. I like it because those two words together have more than one meaning... the holiday tradition of course, also mistletoe being a poison,,, and third a great healing herb... Wonderfully written.
