Notes About The Poem

Winter is the name of my new grandaughter born; 19th November 2023

Winter

She has yet to hear the screaming, this new child of my child;
the news of angry wars, pumped out, merely ambient background.

Too soon, tablet in hand, she will search, see, and wonder: why?

This one is probably how many of us feel when we see a newborn in our family. Insightful. Very nice, and congrats.

You can't help but wonder what sort of world our children and grandchildren will inherit. I've never known it so bad. Love the name Terry. Tom
