Winning Hand
Winning Hand
When she took her very first
Breath of air that night
The dealer smiled and shook his head
At such a precious sight-
I looked into those big brown eyes
My heart began to melt
I knew right then— without a doubt
The hand that I'd been dealt-
The cards were stacked against me
Those eyes…I could not bluff
Those tiny fingers in my hand
Were river card enough-
I raised my face to heaven
And said to God- "all in”
For I knew that He had blessed me
With my lifetime biggest win
