Winner

When they give you the news
“You’re a winner today”
You forget all the blues
That can sweep you away

You forget all the misses
All the hours all the days
When they give you the news
You’re a winner today

It may not last long
But that’s what its for
A moment of winning
Just news nothing more

For tomorrows new headline
Will end your new day
And I hope that it says
“You’re a winner today”
