Winky My Kitty
Winky my kitty
is so pretty,
he fits on my palm
and when he eats he is calm,
at nap time he dreams
and plans schemes
to catch mice on the run.
Winky my kitty
is soft and purrs for me
as I hold him on my knee,
a ball of soft fur and so small
as I pet him gently so he will not fall,
he rubs his pretty face against me,
his way of hugging for me to see.
Winky my kitty
is my darling and favorite boy,
playing with anything as if a toy,
learning to climb the stairs paw by paw,
proud as can be to make sure I saw,
his first attempt to be so daring
following me around to be sharing.
