Wings

A release so pure It lets out its own sigh Apart from mine or thine To read is redemption To write is freedom Wings so large they span across the globe To let go Even if only on paper And not in life Is still salvation sweet and lush and ripe To give it up for a life where I can breathe I can't imagine Only writing gives reprieve If I ever were to leave I'd fear the thought of having my wings taken from me.
