Wine and Friends
Dear long-time friends, forever new,
No need for more than just a few.
Exalted status of “for good”
Grows deep roots since childhood.
As timeless ties that bind, embed,
Wild wondrous life still lies ahead.
If worlds apart for a playday,
Yet within reach, FaceTime away.
To share with ease while living through -
The good, the bad, the ugly too.
Past carefree times to reminisce,
Naivety of youth to miss.
The human bond, one of a kind,
Uninterruptedly life-timed.
Dear long-time friends – state of the art -
Stay up to date till they depart.
With well-aged wine I rise to toast -
To my fast friends, I cherish most!
