Wind Song

The wind heard me crying. It blew through the rain. My voice longing for you, but nobody came. You touched my heart deeply. You gave me great pain. As leaves fall from trees, I whispered your name. I think of you often. I ponder my fate. I dance in my flame though the hour grows late. The wind rang my doorbell, but you never knew how much that I wanted its sound to be you. Janet Marie Bingham

This is a poem of contrasts. I am drawn to the undercurrent of hope.
