Willow Weep

Willow weep for me no more,
By the bridge over the brook,
Search no more down by the stream,
I will not be where you look.

Wait not by the salty sea
Or wander long along the beach,
Captured by her horsetail waves,
I will be far out of reach.

When grass is high and sun is low,
The garden where we once did go
Will hold no memory of me now,
As leaves fallen from every bough.

Dream of happier times to come,
Of me you'll find nowhere and gone,
Heed not the whispers that you hear,
For my love I won't be there.
