Willow Tree

A song I wrote, hope you enjoy and can feel the beat. :)

I went in the room and I saw her asleep
Then I followed the dog as he wanted to pee.
The cold winter wind howled at me
While I walked down the block by the big willow tree.

(Chorus)
But today, I tell you this story you see
Because,
It all fell from me.

She packed up her bags and said she must leave
I pleaded and asked, 'Why do you do this to me?'
She said she loved me but she needed to be,
Alone for awhile to see what she needs.

(Chorus)
But today, I tell you this story you see
Because,
It all fell from me.

Just me and the dog laying under a tree.
We watched as the birds flew by the bees.
He chased after a bird and left me by the tree,
As he got hit by a car and left me to be.

(Chorus)
But today, I tell you this story you see
Because,
It all fell from me.

Alone as I waited, counting the weeks.
I hoped that one day she'd come back to me.
But the years went by and never a peep
So alone I sit,
by that big willow tree.
