The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Will You Still Love

In the crib, surrounded by your whole family
You're the epicenter of love and attention
Your every twitch worthy of mention...

At school you've so many classmates
  Your calendar crowded
    With sleepovers and play-dates...

In college you'll live with some roommates
  Some will be friendly
    Others, surly ingrates...

Now it's time for marriage
  With a partner for life
    A loving husband or wife...

If children come, in the end
They will leave your warm nest
And give you one final test...

Will you still love the person you married?
  Or will you have succumbed
    To all of child-rearing's miscarries?

Life is challenging and can definitely take a toll on marriages. That is why both husbands and wives have to work on keeping their love fresh and strong to survive the various tests along the way. Excellent piece, my friend that addresses the rocky paths of life and the challenges that love will have to battle through to endure. Hugs. Pandita
