Will You Stand By Me

Darling will you stand by me
in all the days of our lives
in dark and glorious days ahead
will you be always at my side

When life will take its toll on me
and confines me to our bed
when I can no longer walk with pride
darling will you stand by me

When age has its mark upon my life
and I'd be more dependent on you
will you hold my hand so tenderly
like the way you used to do

I need to know and be assured
that you will always be with me
I can face the storms that life will bring
as long as you will stand by me
