Will You Marry Me

The Sun dupes me at dusk - my world turns grey -
Leaving me alone with the distant stars...
Will you marry me on Valentine's Day?

Rivers have gone to meet the sea - at bay
Rest - poured their love in the shallow of marsh
The Sun dupes me at dusk - my world turns grey

Cuckoos are busy in nuptial play
Rest are singing along with the guitars
Will you marry me on Valentine's Day?

Your long absence makes my faint heart to fray
Following your footsteps up to the Mars
The Sun dupes me at dusk - my world turns grey

The Spring is bringing colours to display
Spreading merry through the strings of sitars
Will you marry me on Valentine's Day?

Please don’t let the time – once more  – slips away
Give me fair chance to heal my endless scars
The Sun dupes me at dusk - my world turns grey
Will you marry me on Valentine's Day?
