Will You Be There

Will you be there for me,
Like you said you'd be.
After all this time would you still remember that gal from the city?
Would you show me where those eagles fly,
And stand with me where the mountains touch the sky.
To be your heart song was all I ever wanted to be.
Though not in this world perhaps in another lifetime will be.
Now its time to take my hand,
Forever together we will stand

Louise, your poem, I felt deeply with its longing and sense of connection. The imagery of eagles soaring and mountains touching the sky invokes a strong sense of freedom and unity. Your poetic words convey a heartfelt plea for companionship and a shared journey through life's highs and lows. Thank you for sharing this touching piece of poetry. - Blessings, Daniel
