in our first year, i said a lot of words
but i think you said a lot more
you were on some other guys mind
but baby i had yours
60 miles ain't no stones throw
so we would talk on the phone
say things like 'hey how are you?'
but mainly i miss you
will you find some time for me
i think i'd make you smile
will you walk and talk with me
i think it'd be worth your while
'cause i like to build real tall things
and say whats on my mind
but lately i've been tearing you down
and the words have only been mine
so i cover it up with my 'hey how are you's'
but if you were to step inside
i'm afraid you'd be torn apart
and i'd be tossed aside
our third year was a lot like that
a train fall off their tracks
so i'm singing you this brand new tune
'cause honey all i want is you
