Will the Sun Ever Show

Inside my mind is like the pitch black darkness of night
I can never really see clearly what's wrong from right
The happier times of long ago are now far from sight
Will the sun ever show? Will I see the light?

Lies become truth and pretending becomes real
As years away from you time does steal
Another cold hearted hand life does deal
Will the sun ever show? Will the warmth I feel?

With nothing but worry in your path to lay
And no words of encouragement do others say
More confused you become day after day
Will the sun ever show? Will it guide my way?

Will the sun ever show? Will it be today
