Wildflowers

Wildflowers
Dy David J Walker

Some seedlings are carefully cultivated
And properly nourished by those with
Training and Credentials
While others are carelessly
Tossed to barren ground
Where little moisture is found
In the fallow earth
Left in the wind to fend for themselves

The wildflowers that survive
Are often the strongest
lasting the longest in
longer seasons
And for those reasons
Are sought after for their
Beauty untouched

Lovely. Suggestive of an allegory of children left to fend for themselves, who somehow turn out strong.

Sharon.. yes thank you. This is exactly what Wildflowers is about. I wonder if only the Wildflower Children will get it?
