Wild Violets
.
Wild Violets dot the front yard
A Northern Flicker lands
Then fearfully he flies away
Each scene's presence demands
Many Sparrows lavishly feed
'Pon the damp earth, seeds flow
A troup of Blackbirds slowly come
To eat where grass is mowed
Those Violets shortly appear
Just a few weeks in spring
With their beauty I feel am blessed
Theirs a small pleasure bring
