weeping willow tree
gave up its fight with life....
new life sprang up 

wild honey
armillaria mellea....
spores feed on hardwood  

Should I pluck them all and have sauteed mushrooms and butter? On second thought I am not an expert. There are a number that are ringless and are poisonous but I would not know what is what. So it is better to leave them alone. I wonder would they taste like weeping willow and would they help with arthritis pain?

Delice, It came a long rainy spell and they turned black out there so I guess they gave up their spores to make more to come up in and around my plants. Your visits encourage. Sara

Robert, Some mushrooms are colorful but I haven't seen one in and around this area but of course, I don't see everywhere. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Jehovah God Almighty taught Adam all uv the edibles beneficial for keeping ourn thews properly lubricated...Jehovah God also shared with Moses the same information which we can find in God's inspired Words in the first five books uv the Bible...Have a wonderful weekend Sara....much love, james

Yes, James, God did tell us in the Bible what we should eat. It was herbs, nuts and fruits. It would be nice if we could abide by what God said and we would be healthier. Thanks for your informative comment. Sara

I am glad you will not eat them, no good taking that chance. My mom loved mushrooms, and I would sometimes buy them for her as a surprise....she liked them even better than chocolate <3 :) She said my uncle knew how to differentiate good mushrooms from poison, but none of us would ever dare. I would be afraid to try anything other than what the farmers or grocery store sold!

BJ, Yes, some of them can kill in just a few hours and some there is a long time of suffering before death. No one wants that to happen even to their worst enemy. Your good advice will be heeded. Your visits add so much. Sara

Brian, Thanks for the tip. I use Aspercreme With Lidocaine some when the arthritic pain is really bad. Willow tree bark contains aspirin type compounds and was used for a long time to treat pain and fever once its compounds were obtained from the bark somehow and that is my reason for writing that. Andrea, I would like to learn from an expert about them but even if I did I would not want to take a chance on eating them because they can be deadly. There are people that do gather from the wild and eat them. More power to them. Your visit is encouraging. Sara
