Why Write
I write . . . to those who read,
A written word to understand.
For whom the pages turn the truth,
Beyond what is heard them to demand.
I write . . . about what's important,
To all those, both large and small.
Since the stories are often hidden,
Behind a political cabal.
I write . . . when there's confusion,
Concealing shadows to blind the light.
While some obscure reality to a false
Fiction, without reward to those right.
Yet finally, I write where it's needed,
Both for others, but also my own self-interests to heed.
So that its potential may find some wisdom,
As it spreads value along with the seed.
