Why the Sun Almost Went Out

Did you know the sun was once made out of straw,

the angels had run out of gold for sure,

they asked Rupelstiltskin to spin them some yarn,

but he played a trick whilst at work in the barn,

he spun on his wheel a whole bale of hay,

and waited to see what the angels would say,

they got quite angry and said "do as your told, the sun must be made not of straw, but of
gold",

his playful trick almost worked without doubt, and that's why the sun almost went out!

I'm totally with you on this one. Part of the chikdhood problems we encounter today are based on antagonisitic entertainment, i.e., the cartoons, the video games, the WWF, etc. This one would be great for the kids. Keep writing. Vince

thanks for your Comments Ming Lee, however I completely disagree with you, there is enough antaganism in this world, I would prefer a child's poem be left to naivety and Innocence. Thank you Michael and Derrick, appreciate your kind words, I am pleased you understood this poem's simple Joy God Bless you Both xx
