Why Poetry

Too much to say
That won't fit in an essay
Let these words jumble
Hide in the world of symbols

Perhaps intricate images
May tell you my wishes
All the lingering questions
And bothering emotions

Interpret a verse
That seeks to find purpose
Amidst ambivalence
It tries to make sense

It's only words indeed
With all my thoughts scribbled
But these words I can't say
Through writing I can convey

Accept this humble legacy
A portion of my identity
A puzzle in all its beauty
Embedded in a poetry.
