Why Poem

WHY POEM.

Why does time never stop,miss?
Why do people feel sad?
Why are you always being chased by cops, miss?
Why do you make me feel bad?

Why do you never visit us anymore, dad?
Why do you never stop working?
Why do you hate when I sing, dad?
Why do you never stop smirking?

Why do you always swear,mum?
Why do you call me stupid?
Why do you act like a bear, mum?
Why do you hate Cupid?

Why do leaves always fall off trees, miss?
Why do you never answer my questions?
Why are you always chasing bees, miss?
Why Do you like depression?

Hi Talicia! Pleased to make your acquaintance through this introductory poem of yours on Soup. Your 'why' poem asks many questions, but don't we all yearn to know the answers to many things? Your last question has left me thinking.....take care. // paul

Very interesting last line---based on my own personal struggle with depression, I believe the true danger of depression, is that it becomes your friend and if you are clever enough to realize it's not, you can free yourself. Great write TM

A very effective poem. Simple questions that carry significant resonances of layers of feeling.

The last line is a knocker. Love that first stanza more-so however, a fun read.

This is indeed sad, I hope happy answers are revealed to you. Growing up in an abusive home I was always told what a dark place the world was and after enough time I came to believe it. I had an uncle tell me the world was not the horrible place my dad said it was and I began to see it in a different way. Welcome to a happy place.
