Why Pearl Why.

three years into the war, things went amiss, intellegence failed to impress upon this, sunday7/12/41.that was a fateful day, pearl was devestated, and not from far away. a small isle called oahu didn't know what, now the u.s. fleet was a smouldering dot, within two hours five battleships were sunk, sixteen damaged, hundreds of planes now junk. only chance saved the carriers, they weren't there, based at pearl, but had been sent elsewhere, on our american boys this day took it's toll, 2400 of life lost control,1178 were badly maimed, because japan said "these isles can be tamed" they thought they had the right to dominate, like italy and hitler were to dictate, pearl harbour was a means to an end, the japs thought it would ake roosevelt bend, it didn't work,it blew up in their face, this one they'd loose and be in disgrace. the morale wasn't weakened, the opposite in fact, it made our boys with determination react, through slyness, round one the japs had to win, but then the battle was to begin, not many left to remember what they saw, finally these brave young americans won the war.
