Why Keep On Trying?
Why do birds sing
As darkness covers the sky?
Pulling shadows over land
And making life pass right by.
Why do fish swim
Against the current, upstream?
When it's so much easier
To just obey the seam.
Why do plants grow
Even after being cut?
Refusing to stay
In the miserable rut.
