Why Is It

Why is that two people can tell the same joke, Yet one will be booed off the stage And the other has the audience in stitches. Why is it that one persons smile Can light up a room, Yet another will only get a frosty reception. Why is it that an act of kindness from one Will be applauded, Yet another will only have their motives questioned. Why is it that some get all the help Without having to ask, Yet others get none, no matter how many times they ask. I stopped asking these questions the day I came to realise, Being the centre of the Universe was too big a burden to carry. It was the same day I started to relax, have some Fun And became a joy to be around.

yes david, interesting and thought provoking. something i have often contemplated, and after a health event last year i realised the answer is connectedness. i think the more connect you are to others the more you give off connectedness.

You make a good point Grant. A lot nowadays gets in way unfortunately. I am lucky in that respect. meet at least once a week with friend in our street and together we put the world to rights. Toastmasters has also helped me and being involved with various volunteer work over years. And poetry of course. Thank you for taking time to read. Regards David in NZ

Sad note about the Kiwi David, all your questions have been my questions and still are in some respects. I guess I am one of those who will not learn to stay down when knocked down. Such is life. God Bless. D.

Thanks Dave. I am luck in respect that I was not expected to live as baby and learned to be a fighter early on and developed patience. Glad to hear you are a fighter too. Thanks for your positive comments. Take care David

His name was Max Richards. Had not come across his work. His dog was with him and did not want to leave his side. Enjoy rest of weekend. Regards David
