Why I Write

I may not say it when we talk
I may not show it as I walk
I may not show it in my face
I may hold all inside just in case

These thoughts they flow in my mind
These words which I could see if blind
These moments make my heart pace
These thoughts put a smile on my face

They are of you and how I feel
They make every moment with you real
They mean there's no time you should worry 
They show I will be by your side in a hurry

These poems I write for you may be new
These poems express love I've enjoyed from you  
These poems show love's been since the start  
These poems mean this love we share will never part

With each poem, each word I write
With each brings my feelings to the light
With this light my feelings spread
With hope to anyone who may have read.
