Why I abhor AI Generated poems

I wonder if A.I. ‘remembers’ what it has written. Is it likely that a contest to write, say, a Limerick about Santa being bored in July, would find more than one identical entry. I tinker (badly) with A.I. to produce component images in order to to compile an illustration for a poem but frankly I find A.I. sadly lacking. Today I asked ‘Craiyon’ for an image of a German shepherd and two kittens sat in a duck pond… I lost count of how many labradors and Rottweilers it offered me. Duh!

Playing the part of the devil's advocate, I would say that AI has its good points, but that does not apply to anyone who uses it to write poetry.....to me it's a type of plagiarism. ~ Best regards and hope all is well on your lovely island :) Hugs // paul

Jan, I doubt this will ever end now. We need to take solace and joy from each other who we know to be human. At some point even some of the participants here could be bots. It’s disturbing, but those of us who have been here before AI are known to be human I think. Take care and smiles!!
