Why God made the Social Worker

Have you ever seen an abandoned child,
cold and hungry, deluded and exiled.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

How about a mother who made a bad decision,
then needed guidance, and a brand new vision.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

Imagine being old, helpless and all alone,
then someone tries to take you from your home.
That’s why God made the Social Worker.

Who would want the hardest job on Earth,
taking care of others, till death from birth.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

Who could cry themselves to sleep, every night,
then show up in court and be ready to fight.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

Who could take the insults that people say,
and listen to threats, made every day.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

Who could live this life with every tear,
then give their hearts despite their fear.
That’s why God made the Social Worker

Indeed they are! Most days they have a thankless job. I hope your back heals fast Tom!
