Why Dreaming You Is a Nightmare

I see you in my dreams, not as a comfort, Not as an emancipation but as a nightmare. Those discarded recollections rapidly retort With dreadful visions that endlessly glare. I wonder why dreaming you is a nightmare. Perhaps, I do not possess enough memories Of you, besides, the good ones are very rare. My Subconscious visualizes myriad stories. I shut eyes and try to break my dreamy cage. Going in a trance, I behold you, I sense you But opening eyes, I realize that it’s a mirage, My nightmarish wishes evaporate like dew.
