Why Does He Smile?
The Man in the Moon is smiling,
Or so it has been said.
But what makes him grin so
I ponder inside my head?
Could it be, from his perch
Gazing upon Mother Earth,
The beauty I am sure he beholds
Bringing to his face such mirth?
Or maybe a passing comet,
Grazing and tickling his side.
Surely enough to cause a
Smile, on his face, to reside.
Then again, maybe the lovers
Strolling along at oceanside.
In his soft, glorious glow
He amusingly has spied.
The latter is the answer, and
He and I share the same view.
He is smiling like myself cause
We both see the beautiful You.
