Why Did I Always Blush At Girls

Why did I always blush at girls?
Especially those with curls.
The pretty ones were the worst,
Which brought on this confounded curse.

The blood would rush to my cheek
Branding me a social freak.
Giggles would ensue of course,
To make my blushing all the worse.

One day in the school corridor,
A girl came walking through the door
‘What’s your name?' she asked out loud,
I couldn’t speak, I wasn’t proud.

The girls name was Diane Green
The prettiest girl I’d ever seen!
She kissed me on the cheek that day
And hence the blushing went away.

Aha! Now I know that a kiss from a pretty girl is the remedy for blushing!... Enjoyed this one, RT. ~ gw
