Why Bother
They interrupted my regular show
with a Presidental report today!
But before he came on the screen,
we were told exactly what he would say!
Yeah, before he came on we were told
what his speech was all about.
Evidently, these reporters must feel
we're too dumb to figure it out!
Once his speech was over,
once the final page was read,
These reporters came back on again,
and told us what he said!
If they're gonna tell us what he'll say,
and afterwards, what it is he said!
Then why have him, come on at all?
They, should just make the speech instead!
Besides, if we're not smart enough
to decipher his intent,
why even make us listen?
We’ll probably misinterpret, exactly what he meant!
