Why Am I Crying

I cry at the pain and intolerance I see~
I cry because I Know you are me~

I cry when you mourn as I have mourned too~
I cry when I forget that I am just you~

I cry at the joyful smile of a child~
I cry at the captive released to the wild~

I cry when I can’t make it better for you~
I cry at the lies that this world has made true~

I cry at starvation and war and in pain~
I cry as I dance in the warm summer’s rain~

I cry as you hold your child so close to thee~
I cry because my child was taken from me~

I cry for your loss and your deepest fears~
I cry till I feel like I have no more tears~

I cry for your pain and for All the rest~
I cry because my life is so blessed~

An incredible write to say the least. A fellow empath I see. I love to see the strength that is visible in the tears a person cries and the openness and honesty of a soul that doesn't deny them. This poem rocks! You rock! God bless. A 7 all day long. Ed

Sharp contrast between the blessed and the unfortunate. "I rejoice in the joy that You feel all the while~" ^^ A great verse but seems to break the flow of the repetition of the - "I cry" and the why.. Yet , its just my take and you are the author. pm --on the way.. A7..
