Why

Is not for us to know.
Absolute power is out of our control.
We strive to make the world a better place.
We run so fast just to lose the race.

The longer you live, the more you realize.
Life here on earth is not the prize.
But you bark at the moon and you beg for a bone.
Because this world is no place to live all alone.

Questions go unanswered as the world keeps turning round.
You look for answers in truth, but never seems to be found.
Life is born, and life is taken.
Only lesson I've learned is I hope I'm not forsaken.

gosh, it sounds a little pessimistic, dear man! You got it right, though, life here is not the "prize" we hoped it to be and everyone needs somebody . I'm glad I found this poem of yours to read because I think I have nearly exhausted your list! thanks for your comment today. Luv,Andrea

Good poem, its true that we are not in control. I believe we have not been forsaken if we believe in Jesus Christ. He is our hope.
