Why

I could smell the steam off the pavement from the fallin rain
I could still here the ringing in my ear from the shots that silenced the night
The taste of fear caused my voice to tremble
My eyes burned from the mixture of my salty sweat and tears
Just seconds ago you were here and nothing else mattered
I had not a care in the world, till your laugh turned into a gurgle
Your full of life everyday bounce to your step, fell limp
I held you there lifeless, remembering all the times you held me and made me feel
alive. Now I am surrounded by strangers and feel more alone than ever,
I keep asking why? No one answers? I have lost all faith¸

WHY ? WHY? WHY? ……………………………………..

Silence…………………………………………………………………..
