Why

I don't understand why we couldn't stay together.
Why did he say he loved me?
Why did we think it was ok?
Why did he pick me?

But most of all
Why did she tell everyone?
Why am I the one that's alone?
Why am I haunted with shame?

What I understand most is
Why do I have to pretend I'm fine?
Why my life will go on and his won't
Why none of it was real.
