Who's Your Penny

One happens upon a penny, lucky,
and passes it by without thought
then wonders why the years slid by
not finding what one sought.

Now.. this penny could be a woman
This penny could be a man
This penny could be an acquaintance
This penny could be a friend

One happens upon a penny, lucky,
and places it into their hand
then treats it as a treasured gift
and blooms as joy expands

Like thoughts we sometimes don't expound. A penny, sometimes can't be found. For it is hidden beneath the dirt. And joy can't live where there's only hurt. I like Tim's comment much better. :) Bty. Welcome back to this realm of existence. Hope to have you stick around. Peace. :)
