Whole Heartedly
Love is sweet,
love is unchanging,
love is forever.
Your love was bitter
and never stayed the same
in front of friendly faces
you played mindless games
you pretended not to know me,
you pretended not to care
and when we were alone together
you pretended your heart was there
Your love lasted less than a week,
it felt like I was thirsty
and trapped out on the open sea
I tried not to listen to the
so called 'rumors' around me
and when the time came
that I needed you most
you simply didn't show
it was a joke to pretend I didn't know
From the start because when someone loves you,
you have their whole heart
