Who You Were Is Who You Are

Like a candle’s flame all that’s good disappears in the end. Fortune is lost. True
love will die. Memories slowly fade away. Flowers wilt. The strong become weak.
All winners lose in the end.

What will it take for you to die happy? Letting go of all you’ve held dear?

What will it take to know that you’re dying and never shed a tear?

A blade of grass in a ceaseless field.

Just a grain of sand in the sands of time.

How long do you think you could walk the line?

Give of yourself and grow a spine?

Your legacy is the person you are.

What you do now is who you were.

Your success is used in order to blind others from the mistakes you make, which
are those by which you are truly defined.
