Who Will Ever Know Us

How many people do you know from the past?
How far back can you go?
How long will your legacy last?
Before the people of the future will no longer know.

Can you trace anyone from the past at all?
From say two hundred years ago.
How far short do you fall?
Bet it’s fewer than three or below!

So it goes without saying - the future that is,
That you won’t be on the radar, so to speak.
It might be less than two hundred years
That no one, of you, will be prepared to seek.

So think on the troubles you face,
When in your mind it’s the end of the world.
When in two hundred years it will be the case
That your life can no longer be unfurled.

Definitely something to think about and so true. There will come a time when we no longer exist in anyone's memories. Nicely written my friend.
